BLACKBERRY SMOKE Concert in Pontoise, France

BBS playin' live at the Country and western show in Pontoise, a suburb of Paris. Awesome gig !
Paul Jackson very inspired on The Les Paul Standard, Brandon Still on Keyboards (chick magnet or what ?) Richard Turner groovin' with his Zemaitis bass. Charlie Starr frontman/killer guitarist, Brit Turner : solid drummer. Always a pleasure to talk with. See some live footage here :
These guys fuckin' rule. If you're into no frills rock n' roll... ok call it southern rock if you like, buy their CD "Little piece of Dixie" at their webstore. Highly recommended if you like good music (i mean Lynyrd Skynyrd, Rolling Stones, Willie Nelson, Led Zeppelin, The Allman Brothers Band, Hank Williams etc.) I can't wait to see them again. That's enough all the bullshit we have on the radio around here ! Maybe all the DJ's on our french radio are deaf or what ?

BLACKBERRY SMOKE 2009 European Tour.

Wednesday december 9 2009, at le local in Marseille France. Magic happened. Live acoustic performance of Blackberry Smoke. The present and future of the southern rock genre !
The first album "Bad luck ain't no crime" in 2003 was great. "Little piece of Dixie" is even better ! And these guyz are really cool. What a great show ! Brit Turner, their drummer told me about his '54 pan... guys like him are necessarily interesting ! Paul Jackson (guitar and backup vocals) is on the picture with me.
